Ferrari Spring 2022 Ready-to-Wear Collection

At Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello, the company held its inaugural runway show to debut its men’s and women’s premium fashion collections. For over 2 decades, Ferrari has lent its recognised symbol to numerous products ranging from shampoos to t-shirts, for an endless number of business agreements.


Ferrari has ended several previous collaborations to establish the brand as a luxury fashion investor, as its focus shifts from primarily manufacturing premium sports vehicles to sartorial endeavours. The interim Ferrari CEO, John Elkann, told the New York Times, “This is not a side project.”


However, many remained unimpressed about the line and expressed their skepticism online. “Is it just a mashup of Versace, Prada, and Off-White?” said an Instagram fashion and updates account, in response to the apparel. While some people agreed with this opinion, others applauded the company for increasing its reach.


Aside from the mixed contentions, some readers pointed out particular parallels between Ferrari’s outfits and those sent down the runway by other high-end fashion firms. Followers pointed out that the recurring logo belt featured in Ferrari’s collection is strikingly similar to Off-White’s iconic logo belt. Others pointed to affinities between the collection’s shapes and patterns with Versace and Prada’s.

Ferrari has yet to make a public statement on these allegations. Elite Daily contacted Ferrari about the social media outrage but had not received a response by the time of publishing. Regardless, the launch of Ferrari’s first RTW runway collection marks a watershed moment in the company’s history.
